In Science, we have been learning about water and its different states (solid, liquid and gas).
Today we investigated how the temperature of hot water, iced water and room temperature water changed over a period of time. We used our mathematic skills and worked as a group to make sure we read the thermometer accurately.
When we analysed our results, we found out that the room temperature water stayed the same temperature (23 degrees Celsius). The iced water gradually warmed up as it got closer to room temperature. Similarly, the hot water gradually cooled down to room temperature.
We learnt that when left long enough, water will reach and stay at room temperature.
We've left our experiment set up and will check again in the morning. We predict all three containers will be room temperature and that this will be lower than 23 degrees Celsius as the room temperature will drop over night.
