Science Club - Week 3

During Science Club this week, the children met 'Bob' (quickly named by the children), who will be used to support Science lessons in each Y3/4 class this term. Some of the children in Science Club had a great time taking Bob apart, and putting him back together again!

The other children were set the challenge of making the largest working circuit they could, without any initial guidance by Mrs Douglas - this proved very tricky for the children, with only a few managing to make a bulb light up. After a demonstration and explanation of a working circuit, the children were soon making the lights go on, buzzers buzz and motors spin. We will be looking at circuits again on Friday in order to consolidate the children's understanding of what is needed to make a circuit and why.
