It's Gonna Blow... Volcano

Yesterday we looked at some of our class homework projects.

We looked at them giving positive or warm feedback and then gave a helpful piece of feedback, suggesting how our classmate might improve.

Warm / Kind Feedback (Name of child receiving the feedback is in brackets)

You should be really proud of your project because you made a working model and put facts around the edge so we learnt lots.  It is impressive that you used food colouring to make the lava realistic. (Sophie)

Well done for making it an exploding model.  It helped us understand what an eruption looks like.  You explained how the lava reacted in your model clearly, too. (Tamara)

The part of your project which I liked best was the fact you made the lava look so realistic. (Mia)

It is impressive that you included a small town on your model which shows how Pompeii would have been destroyed. (Oliver M)

Helpful / Specific:
To improve this, add food colouring to your lava to make it even more realistic.  (Ryan C)
A suggestion to make it even better is to put facts on pegs or sticks so they are on display with your model. (Mia)

Make it even better by adding rocks for the lava to flow over. (Tamara)

A suggestion to improve your project is to add model house to demonstrate how people’s lives were changed forever. (Sophie)

Why not create instructions so others can build a model as good as yours?  (Sophie and Tamara)

Make this even better by  also using Mentos mints and coke to demonstrate a more explosive eruption. (All)
