Y4 visit The Collection

We have had a fantastic day at The Collection Museum learning about the Romans. We started by learning all about Roman Lincoln (Lindum Colonia). 

Our first activity was the Archaeology Dig where we learnt how archaeologists excavate land to find artefacts. We had a go our self and found a range of artefacts from diaries to spoons to bowls to pottery. This was so  much fun. 

Our second activity was the Roman Army Experience. Yes, you guessed it, we pretended to be Roman Soldiers and learnt how to march and get into Testudo formation. We were invaded whilst we were at the museum - luckily, we had shields and helmets to protect us!
