The Digestive System

We had an amazing science lesson today when we learnt all about the digestive system.  Firstly, we found out how long our small intestine and large intestine were.  It's amazing to think that is inside us all.

We became scientists - we used scientific vocabulary to describe and explain the process.

We then helped to demonstrate the digestive system by adding food, saliva and stomach acid to our 'stomach'.  We then mixed it up and broke down the food as it travelled through our digestive system.  Finally, the waste product was all that remained.
