Teamwork and Resilience in Y3/4
This week Y3/4 have been working with STEM Ambassador, Mr Randall, who is an engineer. He taught us how and why it is important for architects and engineers to consider how to 'earthquake-proof' buildings in certain parts of the world, due to the position of the Earth's tectonic plates.
The children have all worked so hard together as Teamwork Toucans and Resilient Rhinos to solve problems. Each child began by making a tetrahedron, and then combined this with another three, showing excellent mathematical reasoning and problem solving skills. The finished tetrahedron nearly touched our school hall ceiling!
Well done, Year 3/4, and thank you Mr Randall for visiting Fosse Way Academy.
