Sum it Up!

Today, in reading, we were learning the skill of summary or saying the main ideas from a text. Different table groups had texts on different subjects and these were the summaries we created.

Sally, Connor and Amy  

The main idea of our text is who invented XRays and how a scientist won a prize.

Chloe and Lola:

It about how a doctor looks after your bones if you break them.

Luke and Gracie

The main idea of my text is that if your limbs break, this means your bones snap.

Joshua H The main idea of the text is about a woman who breaks her leg, so unfortunately she can’t enter the Olympics anymore.

Max, Jake S and  Mia:The writing is telling you how John used a calendar, crossing off the days until his birthday. It also tells you how many days are in a month and a leap year.

Gracie:The main theme of this text is describing summer flowers, blowing in the wind.
